Haiku and Tanka

There was once a challenge to write 100 haiku or tanka poems in thirty days, to certain topics. Most of these came from that challenge. Occasionally I add to the collections.

-1-

Silent Skyscrapers
Sweeping supernal surface
Standing still sentry

-2-
paper elephants
dancing in the autumn breeze
confetti trumpets

-3-
Bad moon rising high
Listen! The bansidhe cry
Death comes calling nigh

-4-
others in darkness
sleeping away bright hours
thrive in sunless light

-5-
the rules of living
are followed to the letter
voided upon death

-6-
Apples at midnight
Plump under a moonlit sky
Pickers come at dawn
